About SBA

Our Mission: Smyrna Basketball Association is a non-profit, 501 c(3), community-based organization that exists to provide fun, quality basketball for families, in a positive environment.

Basketball Skills Development: Smyrna Basketball Association seeks to be on the cutting edge in developing basketball skills. It is our priority to provide the best basketball environment possible for the players.

Families: Smyrna Basketball is about creating a family experience. Whether you are a traditional, blended, or single parent family, we create all of our programs with you in mind. We encourage the whole family to get involved either as a participant, coach, team parent, team assistant or positive encourager. We believe that basketball should not occupy all your time; therefore we limit our practices and games to no more than three hours per week, total.

Fun: Smyrna Basketball makes it a top priority to create a fun environment for basketball. One of our founding principles is to "put the fun back into sports." We train our coaches in how to teach fundamentals without letting competitiveness overtake what we are trying to accomplish. At the beginning of the All-Star Game, we announce all the participants' names over our sound system so they feel like an All-Star! We have an end of the season Awards Celebration where each participant receives a trophy and is recognized. This event is full-blown. You will not find anything else like it!
